Water slides are considered particularly accident-prone. Here, 10- to 14-year-old children are most at risk. Users can fall out of the slide, collide with the slide or other users, mostly children, etc. For this reason, TÜV AUSTRIA has developed a test procedure that helps to determine the danger to users on such leisure facilities and thus critical points can be defused.
However, the test procedure also gives the operator the advantage that TÜV AUSTRIA informs him where his slide is particularly adventurous and where he has to be careful that the users do not get too cocky.
